Graduation milk technologist 2023
Our two apprentices Mohammad Khawari and Mirza Hosseini successfully completed their apprenticeship as dairy technologists in July 2023. We warmly congratulate them both on their success and wish them nothing but the best for the future.
It has been a long road for Mohammad to get here. He was born in Afghanistan. Due to the bad political situation, he had to emigrate to Iran when he was only five years old. But life there was anything but easy. So he decided at the age of 18 that he would like to flee to another country. He reports about his very impressive and stirring escape in his in-depth study. Thanks to his courage and will, he made it to Switzerland after 29 days and thus to safety. In Switzerland he learns the language with great commitment and willingness to learn and starts in 2019 the apprenticeship "milk practitioner" in the Strähl Käse AG. After successfully completing this, he has now, in 2023, also successfully passed the apprenticeship Milk Technologist EFZ. It fills us with great pride that he has achieved all this!
During the three-year apprenticeship, apprentices acquire skills in the company, in inter-company courses and at school. In the company, they learn, among other things, how to accept raw materials, carry out quality controls and heat treatments, operate and maintain technical equipment, prepare and use cultures, and implement the regulations on hygiene and quality management. Of course, they also acquire the ability to produce soft, semi-hard and hard cheeses. Especially the production of our Raclette is a big part of the training, as well as the production of the different Bonaparte variations.
